Record Removal, Expungement, & Statutory Suppression Policy
InmateRoster.net is committed to absolute data accuracy, fundamental fairness, and full compliance with state and federal privacy enactments. We proactively suppress and permanently de-index criminal history and booking information for individuals who were not convicted, had charges dropped or dismissed, completed diversion, received court expungement or sealing orders, or submit written removal requests under state commercial booking photo statutes.
InmateRoster.net NEVER charges fees, solicits donations, or requests monetary compensation of any kind to remove, suppress, or correct criminal history or booking records. We categorically condemn and distance ourselves from commercial mugshot extortion operations. Every eligible removal petition is reviewed and executed completely free of charge.
We operate in strict accordance with state-specific booking photo and criminal history publication statutes, including but not limited to:
Important Clarification on Proof: In compliance with these state statutes, certified court copies are NOT required for non-convictions. Uncertified court minute orders, public docket extracts, or verifiable court docket numbers allowing our staff to confirm non-conviction online are fully sufficient.
Qualifying Removal & Suppression Grounds
We grant immediate, permanent suppression under any of the following six recognized categories:
Any judicial court order granting expungement, record sealing, order of non-disclosure, acquittal, or executive pardon. Certified or standard uncertified digital copies are accepted.
Proceedings ending in dismissal, nolle prosequi, no bill by grand jury, acquittal, not-guilty verdict, or successful completion of pre-trial diversion or intervention programs.
Individuals arrested or booked where the prosecuting authority (District Attorney, State Attorney, or City Solicitor) formally declined charges, rejected prosecution, or failed to file within statutory limits.
Written request submitted pursuant to state mugshot statutes (e.g., GA, FL, CA, IL, OR, TX) accompanied by identifying case or booking numbers allowing independent electronic docket verification.
Any individual who was under the age of 18 at the date and time of booking or arrest. Juvenile records are subject to strict confidentiality and immediate suppression upon notice.
Victims of stolen identity or law enforcement clerical misidentification (with police incident number), or requests submitted by immediate family members on behalf of deceased individuals.
